Time was supposed to become easier,

Days were to go by faster and

You were meant to be found,

not lost.

It is said that when we grow up,

We’d understand it all.

Maybe we should’ve just sat & simply enjoyed the endless minutes of our youth go by.

Why wouldn’t we?

Who were we to experience life to the fullest extent at such a young age?

Gambling the impact of the physical or emotional cost,

Unbeknownst to the danger it would influence.

All in exchange for some patience, courage and wisdom.

Perhaps a fair enough trade,

Going through life experiencing each lesson

One day at a time.
