Even after all this time,
Somehow my name comes across your conversations.
Played with the thought to respond
only to immediately snap out of it,
Why lose my time?
You lie, name call and you’re still bitter over what? Tell me…
The years of desperate reach to contact?
I never cheated,
I just walked away.
A simple reaction to your action, Duh.
Agreeing to the closure you had been searching for
Understanding how I needed it as well,
We decided to meet up after years of not really knowing each other.
I imagined you’d be mature enough
Forgiving & advicing you to heal.
Somehow, that night was crossed
I tried, yet you can’t grasp the idea of an end.
I’ve simply grown tired of entertaining the silence you love.
Life wasn’t easy back then,
We learn to move forward.
Things ended practically a decade ago
According to you though it could’ve been just a couple years ago.
I learned to love the way you manipulate your lies ♥️
Seeing that I’m the only one who can see right through them.
Redirecting a vision in where I become the villain,
The one who caused the fracture,
Who speaks fables.
The one in whom ultimately “hurt you”
to those blind enough to believe your ego.
Although the story’s always the same.
You give new girl’s a different perspective
They become insecure, disrespectful.
Forgeting that the empty space being created by you
Induces harm,
Motivating them to choose hurtful outcomes.
What goes around really does come around
How is it that an old shadow of mine projects without being present?
How do you still manage to bring the hauntings of your mistakes back to life?
After all is said & done you tend to proudly introduce yourself
with a “new characteristic” of no harm no foul & say hello…
